Helping Each Other can Make Community Better

The Hazara Community Association of Alberta is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting, empowering, and promoting the cultural identity of Hazara people living in Alberta.

Who we are?

The Hazara Community Association of Alberta (Alberta Hazara Society) is a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to supporting, empowering, and promoting the social, cultural, and civic well-being of Hazara people living across the province of Alberta.

Founded to serve the growing Hazara community—many of whom have resettled in Alberta as newcomers and refugees—the Association works to preserve Hazara cultural identity while fostering successful integration into Canadian society. We strive to create a strong, united, and resilient community that contributes positively to Alberta’s diverse social fabric.

The Association provides support services, community programs, and advocacy initiatives that address the needs of Hazara individuals and families, including youth, women, seniors, and newcomers. Our activities focus on cultural preservation, education, community development, social inclusion, and civic engagement.

We are committed to promoting mutual understanding, respect, and collaboration between the Hazara community and the broader Canadian society. Through partnerships with local organizations, government agencies, and community leaders, the Alberta Hazara Society aims to amplify the voices of Hazaras, promote human dignity, and encourage active participation in civic life.

Guided by principles of inclusivity, transparency, and volunteerism, the Hazara Community Association of Alberta serves as a platform for community connection, cultural celebration, and collective progress—working toward a future where Hazara Canadians feel supported, represented, and empowered.
